Polyfest Pasifika

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, faakalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!

Zeal Zone

Last week we made health wraps for zeal zone We used hummus to spread over the wrap, then sprinkle grated carrots. Fold one edge of the wrap, and then carefully, roll it up. Finally, slice the wrap in half.

The ingredient
1. tortilla
2. Hummus
3. Grated carrots
4. Grated cheese
5. lettuce
6. Ham
7. sauce

we did it because in all one cost $7.00 and most people never make homemade sandwich They always buy sandwich instead of making it

My Camp Bentzon Voice over

Last weeks camp was great when we arrived at kawau island we had a little rest from unpacking bags from the boat. Than we began the hike we went up the killer hill it felt like the worst day of my life when the year 6’s got to the other side they were puffed while most of them we had another rest we played bull rush and skim stones on the water. after our rest we headed back we got back I was happy we were done. The next day we did our four activities first Orienteering then Abseiling we then went for lunch it was delicious after we were done we did Kayaking and Raft building those were four activities than we had dinner and headed off to bed. next morning we went for our ran it was hard because there hilles and tricky bit where you might fall than in the afternoon we did our other four activities it was Bivouac, Sailing, Confidence Course and Burma Trail then we just played free time and the next we had to pack up and clean because it was our last day we got to school we were happy to be home and our families

The Blackout Chapter 3

It been 8 weeks since we last saw power I woke to another bad dream about me alone in a school and it was dark and scary then a monster ran right in front of me. I woke nearly frighten to death it was 2:00 in the morning I was sweating so I went to go have a nice warm shower to cool me down but then I realized that we had no light I couldn't even see myself and where I was going so I just went back to bed. then in the morning I heard my sister Lia shouting “I can’t take it anymore I just can’t” than a loud slam it was the door. My sister ran away that when the search began me and my big brother Josh went to go find her at her favorite spots and places but we could not find her.

8 hours later we still haven’t found her then I remembered when I was young I use to go to the park with my sister and she use to love that place because she always had peace and quiet to read her book and get her homework done but I forgot that place when I started to get older until now. I told my brother we ran there and there she was sitting on the swing it was quiet then I walked to her and said, “What happened” then Lia said, I want everything back to normal when he had internet and my sky hdi and other stuff that powered stuff I just miss it” and I replied back “It all right I miss it too but we can always think of something, now let go home mum and dad might be home worried sick” “really” said “Lia yes really” I said then we home.
